Terms of sale – accommodation

in hotels and resorts on Gran Canaria Travel. Gran Canaria Travel is a trademark of Martin Smolen, C/Carmen Bordón López N°34, 351 07  Juan Grande, Las Palmas, Spain, ID: Y5666033C.

The sale of accommodation is subject to these terms and conditions unless otherwise agreed in writing.

After receiving the booking confirmation, the Client is obliged to check all data and report any discrepancies within 24 hours of booking confirmation. No later claims will be disregarded.

The date of issue of these Terms and Conditions 01.11.2019.

CANCELATION CONDITIONS

Refundable rates. Upon cancellation, you pay the penalty fee at the following rate:

RIU hotels & resort, LOPESAN Hotels & resort, DUNAS hotels & resorts, BARCELÓ hotel group

  • until 20 days prior to arrival (12:00 local time in the hotel) – 5%
  • 19 – 15 days prior to arrival (12:00 local time in the hotel)  – 25%
  • 14 – 8 days prior to arrival (12:00 local time in the hotel) – 50%
  • 7 days or less prior to arrival (12:00 local time in the hotel) – 100%
  • no-show 100%

Refundable rates. Upon cancellation, you pay the penalty fee at the following rate:

SERVATUR hotels & resorts

  • until 20 days prior to arrival (12:00 local time in the hotel) – 5%
  • 19 – 15 days prior to arrival (12:00 local time in the hotel)  – 25%
  • 14 days or less prior to arrival (12:00 local time in the hotel) – 100%
  • no-show – 100%

other hotels & resorts

  • until 20 days prior to arrival (12:00 local time in the hotel) – 5%
  • 19 – 10 days prior to arrival (12:00 local time in the hotel)  – 50%
  • 9 days or less prior to arrival (12:00 local time in the hotel) – 100%
  • no-show – 100%

Non-refundable rates. Upon cancellation, you pay the penalty fee at the following rate:

  • 100%

  • 5% prepayment on time of order
  • outstanding amount up to 20 days prior arrival

Non-refundable rates

  • 100% prepayment on time of order

MODIFICATION POLICY

In rare cases, we reserve the right to change the cancellation and payment conditions!

  • names of client until 2 days prior to arrival (12:00 local time in the hotel) – free
  • dates of arrival or departure until 20 days prior to arrival – free (excl. price difference)

GENERAL CONDITIONS

1) We inform you that it is compulsory to present the following documentation at reception to check-in:

  • Official identity document (ID card for EU citizens or passport).
  • Booking voucher.
  • In the event that you do not present the above-mentioned documentation at reception, the hotel will be unable to rectify any mistake related to the booking, be it. the rate, number of people and/or services contracted and will ask you to pay for the booking in the hotel

2) In general, check-in is from 3pm and check-out at 11pm. Your booking will be definitely held until 6pm on your arrival date. In the event that you are due to arrive later or earlier than the indicated time and have not indicated this in the booking, please telephone the hotel as soon as possible.

3) In the event of having selected direct payment at reception, you must pay when checking in.

4) Flights and transfer are not included in the price of this booking..

5) The hotel will try to fulfil clients special wishes, depending on availability and possibilities. For more information contact the hotel.

6) Booking prices include local taxes unless their omission is expressly mentioned. Any other tax or rate must be paid separately at the hotel.

7) For cash payments the exchange value of the booking in the hotels local currency will be charged at the rate advertised in the hotel reception. For some of our hotels you can choose the type of currency in which you would like to pay for your stay by card.

8) In accordance with Spanish taxation regulations, Spanish citizens cannot pay cash for hotels in Spain in amounts equal or greater than 2,500 euros. This limit is 15,000 euros for other nationalities.

9) In Mexican hotels, in accordance with Mexican taxation authorities, US dollar bills will not be accepted or exchanged.

10) To avoid any inconveniences due to currency exchanges and possible fluctuations of exchange rates, we recommend you pay for the booking beforehand (wherever possible).

11) Guests are kindly requested to note that casual clothing is required for dinner in all hotels.

12) Staying with pets in hotels is not possible unless otherwise agreed. Guide dogs are accepted at hotels on prior notification.
